429421 Keith Group Buy is Now Open.


Enough people have expressed an interest in the Keith Poll to run this.

This Group Buy is for a 429421 Keith boolit that designed for the 44 Magnum rifle and pistol. It can be used in any of the 44 caliber class cartridges like the 44 Special, 44 Magnum, 444 Marlin. The molds will be produced by Night Owl Enterprises (NOE) in their standard 1-5 cavity molds AND the RG Hollow Point molds.

The 429421 Keith Group Buy will close on December 14th. If we don’t have 15 orders by then, the close date will be extended until we do.

Moulds will be machined from 2024 Aluminum
Used for high strength structural and aircraft applications.
Tensile strength range 30,000 to 63,000 psi
Sprue plate (blued), alignment pins, and hardware will be
carbon steel.



The cost will be as follows:

Standard Molds
Single cavity mould $68.00 Ea.
Double cavity mould $72.00 Ea.
Three cavity mould $79.00 Ea.
Four cavity mould $85.00 Ea.
Five cavity mould $92.00 Ea.
Hollow pointing one cavity and furnishing a double ended pin would be $35.00 extra.
If you want to fashion different HP profiles, an extra blank pin would be $1.50

RG Molds
Two cavity RG2 HP mould $96.00 Ea.
Includes one set of hollow point pins
and one set of flat nose pins.
If you want to fashion different HP profiles for the RG2 an extra blank pin set of two (2) would be $4.

Four cavity RG4 HP mould $126.00 Ea.
Includes one set of hollow point pins
and one set of flat nose pins.
If you want to fashion different HP profiles for the RG4 an extra blank pin set of four (4) would be $8.

Shipping and handling will be $10 per order and shipped priority mail. If you live outside the United States contact me, and I will work with you.



Lead time is 4-5 weeks after Group Buy closes. Tooling will be ordered once we get to 15 paid orders so don’t delay.

The mold is machined to use LEE Commercial 6-Cavity handles (not included).
A Lyman, RCBS type top punch is furnished with each mould as well as a sample of Bull Plate sprue plate lube.

We are using .434 to cover all the Ruger BlackHawks
with large throats. Will size down very good for others.

The blank pins for the singe hollow pointing of a cavity are $1.50 each. A set of 4 for the RG4 is $8. The base of the set of 4 for the RG4 has to be machined to fit the slides on the RG4. The blank pins for the single HPing don't need the extra machining as they are held in the handle by a set screw.

Can this mold be purchased with a 0.432 diameter?

It is spec'd to drop from the mold at .434. Sizing it down to .432 in a lubesizer or push through sizer would be very easy to do.

+1 on this with me also. I am going to size .430-.431 and would like to drop at .432 if possible. Same issue we just went going through with the 45 Keith.

You might get that size if you smoke the mold or apply mold release. I am just thinking of all the things we normally have to avoid because of the too small cavities that we get from the major manufacturers.

I did not previously notice the drop diameter. I just checked my M29-2 and found that the throats on it are .433-.434. Now that I know, the gun will likely be sold and a replacement with smaller throats found. :-|

what does the sprue look like . i read the mould will use a lee six cavity handle, so will the mold also have the cam operated release? Or will it be the Lyman bang the sprue plate with a mallet?

Tackstrp- The molds use the lee six cavity handles because they are commonly available. It doesn't have the camming handle. I don't bang on my molds. 1917, Four to Five weeks after the GB closed was the expectation in October when this group buy was opened. In December, the shop that produces the mold delivered a different expectation to SwedeNelson. They are turning out a different group buy each week.

So in answer to your question, barring any unexpected snags or holdups, the mold is scheduled to be produced in late May. With shipping times you should receive it in early June. The shop has stated that they will better the schedule if they can. SwedeNelson posted the schedule so that everyone can see it and know what to expect. As he said in a thread about scheduling, "If anyone is unwilling to wait on the new schedule a refund will be gladly sent". No one is making any attempt to deceive or put off anyone here.
