I have seen some great indoor casting setups with ventilation of many types.

According to the research I done on the internet (I know, folks will say about anything on here) lead oxide vapor occurs at 800deg F, and elemental lead vapor occurs at 1100deg F, and lead will boil at somewhere above 3200deg F.

Now here's what I would like to ask the owners of those indoor casting vents to do. Would you go to your local home center or hardware store and get an inexpensive lead test kit and check the inside of vent hood/collector for the presence of lead? I know that there are other potetially toxic substances that can be released from smelting or casting. I'm just curious as to the amount of air movement, CFM rating of the fan, and the presence of condensed lead in the apparatus.

Thanks
