A few weeks back I told you casters I had ordered a Steyr Pro-hunter Big bore in 450 marlin
Seeing that I was shooting a 580 gr bullet from a Paul Jones Mold Brian a member on this forum asked me what was the rifling twist on this rifle thinking that the twist might not stabilize this big of a bullet, I tough it was just like all the 4570 and marlin 450 1 in 20 inches
yesterday out of curiosity I E-mail Steyr in Austria and Steyr U.S.A. and big surprise the answer was 1 in 14 inches twist with 6 groves,
also was told the magazine is 3.125 inside dimension to accommodate various bullet up to 700 gr.
the twist was base on the 458 mag rifling twist
personally I am happy of this because I had a 458 once and it shot everything well whit that twist
what do you casters have to say about this? I am curious
