I need a 2 measurements for my new barrel for a spare 1894... I am ordering an octagonal CNC barrel works blank.. They need two measurements from an original...

measured 'across the flats' at the muzzle end and the breech end.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

I have a .32 Special from 1908 that measures .841 at breech, and .708 at the muzzle.

you might have to change the contour of your forearm to fit the bbl properly.

7x57..

thanks alot, I appriciate it... Im ordering a 24" .257" blank and building a 25-35, as Ive wanted one for woods loafing for about a million years. Ive tryed to purchase a couple, but either the price is obscene, or the barrels look like sewer pipes. I tryed holding out for a more affordable Green Mountain blank, but I dont think they are EVER going to put out another rifle length octagon 257 blank.

My buddy however is trying to talk me into a 32-40 Ballard as a woods loafing rifle.

I didnt even give the forearm consideration yet, but thanks for the reminder that Im in for even more work! :) :killingpc I forgot all about the forearm work to be honest. :groner:
