I finally found a patch!

At the range the other day, I finally saw a patch fly.
It went out to the right. I recovered it, and it had even blackness all around the edges.
It was the first one I had found.

The little buggers can be hard to find for sure. Hard to tell where they go when you have to look through the smoke to track them. If I am trying to check for patch problems, I try to have someone stand at a safe distance in the 9 o'clock to watch for their landing zone. I don't recover all of them that way but I would say about 70%.

Good afternoon
Best I have at finding patches is to have someone else be there watching for it to fly away. With a flinter there is to much else going on to try to see a patch. We generally have a westerly cross wind at our north facing range. I recon the fields downwind must be littered with my patches .
