just got a call from the local salvage yard they know im allways looking for lead. They said they just got almost a ton of lead shot from a carnival. Im guessing its what they shoot in those machine guns there. Anyone have any clue what the alloy on this stuff is Ill probably buy it no matter what it is cause leads getting harder to find everyday and you can make bullets out of darn near any alloy.

I would guess either magnum shot or chilled shot. those deals have been around since before the use of magnum shot was widespread amongst handloaders.

I would glom onto it too at a fair price.

That's what I shoot in my muzzleloaders. It's pure lead + ~2% arsenic. DON'T BREATHE THE FUMES WHEN CASTING!

I bought ~400 lbs of carnival shot for 30 cents per lb.
