My FC II in .303 Brit has now made more than 1000 alum. gas checks and is still functioning like the day I started using it. No wear that I can measure or detect. Just thought I should report.

Jeff, what thickness aluminum did you end up finding that is the best for forming the cup? And I finally found some photos of the FreeCheck II and now I see how it works. I may and up with one eventually. It certainly looks like it would work ok.
