405 gr 45/70 with Trail Bo

I'm trying to get a ballpark idea about the velocity of a 405 Grain Lee bullet using a healthy dose of Trail Boss. I don't have a chronograph and hate guessing.

I have never tasted Trail Boss, and don't know a thing about it...but I read a lot.
Somewhere in the dark recesses of my memory is an inkling that a discussion of Trail Boss produced comments that it isn't good for the 45/70 cartridge. But, the details escape me...

It might only be for pistols.

Wish you could remember Charlie. The only thing negative I found o far in the 45/70, was that it gave bad accuracy with 300 gr bullet. Then the fellow admitted he had changed sight just before testing.
