I just got done with another new boolit cherry design, so molds are now available. This boolit was designed for a 35 caliber paper patch or 348 plinking round. The thread was originated by 357Max, who was looking for a PP boolit for his 35 Remington and 35 Whelen. 45 2.1 designed it and also set it up to work as a plinker for the 348 Win. The boolits pictured below were cast from 50-50 WW-Pb. They mic'd at 0.3525 x 0.3528 on all bands. The cherry depth was set for the Whelen length and the casting weighed 216 grains. Any depth or length is available and can be mixed in a multi-cavity mold at no extra cost. I can also increase the base band length, on the longest version shown, if desired. It is currently 0.050". Each addition 0.010" in base band will add approximately 2.7 grains of weight. Shorter lengths can also be had with a longer base band, but will require the same upcharge as a GC shank removal. If you order one of these, please refer to the cherry as "35PP/348 Plinker". Also specify the OAL desired for each cavity. This design will be added to my rifle design page on the next update.

Will be sending in an order for a 2 cavity in a week or so. Always wanted to try paper patch in the .35 Rem and .357 max.

It is so cool how a  pops into my head, and others with the skillset to make it happen......make it happen.:bigsmyl2: I want to send a big thank you out to Bruce and Bob....THANK YOU

Anyone that wants to rev up a softer hunting alloy in the faster 35's with extreme J-WORD type velocity/accuracy would be well advised to think about this beauty IMO. I know that the Michigan whitetail is in grave danger of getting his antlers affixed to my wall with this boolit.:bigsmyl2:

.357 maximum,
What are the general loads you have been using in the Marlin .35 Rem and with your hot .357 maximums and this boolit? You run 'em hot, while I do not. Just wanted an idea of what the limits are with the paper patched.

I have not actually played with "this" boolit yet. But from my other patching jaunts...the limit for speed and accuracy is just like them red colored guilded projectiles. Apparently none of my irons are smart enough to tell the difference between paper and copper patching.

I run my max with full tilt viht N-120 loads and my 35 remmies with full tilt H335 loads. If you get the alloy soft enough yet tough/mallable enough 20to1, wd'ed 50/50,or acww there is no limit.........they are jacketed boolits for all intents and purposes.
