I load & shoot a lot of 7.62x25 in 3 CZ52s & a custom destroyer carbine. I have for years used WC820 or H110. After a powder inventory today I found I am 2/3 of the way through my last 8 pounder of WC820. My question is since I have 32+ lbs of 5744, would it be stupid or crazy to try and work up a load using this powder. I don't think I will find any more WC820 at a decent price, if at all. And I hate to buy more powder when I already have so much. I read on another thread that Starmetal had used 4227 in this caliber with some success. AA5744 and 4227 are very close in burn rate, so I thought id ask. Thank you for any comments or feedback. Josh

Jeff Bartlett has some the AA#9 variety of WC 820 in stock right now(www.gibrass.com).
It will be interesting to see if any appreciable amount of Milsurp is available in the future.

I think the cheap Milsurp days are OVER much to my chagrin.
