Removing Screws in Winchester 1873?

I'd like to remove some stuck screws in an original Winchester 1873 without buggering them up.

I've tried various penetrants without success. I even tried heating one with a propane torch followed by a cooling spray of a penetrant, no positive result.

One local gunsmith declined to try.

Any suggestions?

Get up in the morning. Put Kroil on head of screw, and insert tight-fitting screwdriver. Tap end of screwdriver with mallet. Repeat for as many days as it takes to loosen. They will eventually come loose.
