Today was a great day at LeadandBrass.com as we took delivery of our first lot of genuine Lyman #2 casting alloy.

We realize at LeadandBrass.com that the folks here are a pretty resourceful lot and the thrill of hunting lead is a lot of the fun.

However, for those who don't enjoy the hunt, don't like smelting and just want to enjoy bullet casting without a lot of fuss, we offer our premium Lyman #2 alloy to you.

Visit: http://www.leadandbrass.com/lyman2/lyman2.html to read all about the current lot and for information about purchasing.

We offer our lead in 8 pound notched bars for $2.20/lb and can ship up to 68 pounds in one flat rate box for $13.95

We hope you'll stop by to take a look!

Wow, I am impressed, the size of these bars is as long as my saeco mold ,, with the handles!
Impressive! And I got a sample pack of 45acp brass that looks great! Nice and clean and ready to load!

Great stuff folks!

I'd like to put in a well-deserved positive word here for Pete--he's a great guy to deal with, and his alloy looks (and sounds!) fantastic! Thanks Pete!

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have some of this on hand to make standard #2 boolits out of all your molds. Even if you don't buy alloys from comercial vendors.
I've done this so far out of pure lead,(pure20/1 tin) WWs....

Next step will be to buy some nice #2 from Pete......This will save me time on math and trying to figure how to make #2 out all the scrap i have.

Of course it's not a perfect formula, but it does get you zeroed in very close. If you look at 10 different books you can find 10 different definitions of #2 alloys. This stuff sounds/looks like a good base alloy to measure from.

I'll order some of this eventually.
