.308 Winchester loads solicited

I'm looking for a load for the .308 Win that utilizes 2400 and a 200 to 210g cast boolit. I have other powders, but I've been working with 2400 because it meters so well outta my Dillon old 450 measure. Thanks in advance.--Shuz

I use 16.0 gr. of 2400 with the Lyman 311299 (195 to 205 gr. depending on the alloy du jour). I use the gas check. 1540 fps; good groups; good hunting performance.

Sorry, can't help you with a bullet that heavy. But for what it's worth, I'm using a a gas checked Lyman #311413, that's roughly 170 gr, with 15 gr of 2400. It's a light load but accurate. I haven't shot it thru a chono.

bet you hear 16-18 grs a lot. yours might like to go higher even.
i have gone up to 22 grs in the 7-08 and 7x57 cases.

Thanks for the suggestions. I loaded up some at 16g and some at 16.5, and we'll see what they will do.

Would be willing to bet that someplace between 16 and 20 gr. of 2400 you will find a load to suit you and will be accurate.
