I have two Ruger semi auto carbines from the 70's. One shoots my jacketed bullets and the other is a safe queen.

I want to shoot Mihec 44mag-444Marlin bullet out of the safe queen and use Lyman #2 alloy, LARS soft red lube. High to Max velocity. (Semi auto function and accuracy trumping pure speed)

Any pointers on general problems to be avoided would be greatly apreciated.

Do y'all think the twist is fast enough for the longer bullet?

Thanks for any input positive or negative.

Haven't fired the Mihec, but my "old-style" Ruger carbine does just fine with the Lee 310 grain. Had to load it up pretty stout to get it to stabilize, though.
