I received my TLC460-425-RF today! That gives me a pretty good lineup for my Marlins... TLC359 for my 336D, SC, and ER (also a beautiful and not so common Savage 170B). The TLC379 for my 375. The TLC432 for my 336-44 and 444s. Now, this TLC460 for my 1895G and MR! I've got one more coming, a TLC311-165-RF for my Glenfield 30 and my 336A (30-30 Ackley Improved). Heck, with all these rifles, molds, and 1600# of wheel weights and 1600# of linotype I think I might just put a padlock on my gate and never come back out! [smilie=s:

I was busy casting some TLC432-285-RFs when the Lee box arrived so I went straight to work casting some. Looks like all the dimensions are correct and cast as I expected so may be soon I can start shooting it.

My hog hunters left this morning and the wind had died down so I shot a bunch of the TLC3590-180-RFs. I had loaded up some of them with Hodgdon's recommended starting loads for the Speer 180-grain bullet. I used BL-C(2), H322, H335, H4198, and H4895. I shot them out of my 336D instead of my 50's 336SC. They shot very well! The rifle is sighted in at 100-yards with the Speer 180-grain FP and 38.0-grains of H4895 and all the 5-round groups where with a few inches of this load. Honestly, I was suprised I hit an 8.5" X 11" target at 100-yards with this finicky rifle. Gonna clean all the copper out of the barrel and cure some constrictions and it might end up being a shooter. H335 and H4895 shot the best.

What is the story on these designs? They are not stock items are they? Are they your designs? Are they GC designs? I need a lighter plain base bullet for a plinker in my 356. That 359 looks interesting.

The designs are just something I came up with. All of them use the Micro Bands for tumble lubing (TL) and are gas checked (C). They are the proper diameter for the various Marlin rifles. I plan on using the TLC359 out of my 336ER at around 2400 FPS for big game.

Hi RanchDog........Have you tried your .379 bullet yet?....

That's on tap for next week. I got some cast up with 1 to 1 wheelweights/linotype. For this design, I was simply tired of working with the heavy commerical boolits and was about ready to return to the Hornady FP. I spent a bunch of time going over the ballistics of various designs vs. powder capacity and figure the 210-grain bullet seemed about right. Guess I will find out early next week.
