Is anyone using this mould? I was checking out the Lee 6.5 mould discussed below and ended up ordering that and an 8mm Maximum mould. Thought I would try them both. Heavier weight bullets (>180grains) are difficult to find for 8 mm.

I'm looking for comments and suggestions. 8x57 of course.

Thanks!

I have both the specail order 8 MM molds sold by Mid South .
The 8MM KARABINER and the MAXIMUM .
I have casted a few hundred of each and have shot a FEW of both , but in my limmited shoot I just got the scope on paper and rang the 100 yd gong .

I am hoping for a warmer and calm evening to do some group testing .

My 8mm Max is so grossly over size that a .325 Lyman sizer will size the entire length of the bullet. I only sized and lubed (2) of them and thought I would destroy the LYman 450, driving the bullet back out. Very dissapointed with Lee. Mine is useless to me. Quantrill

I have the Karbiner Mold. Mine cast around .3255 - .3260. They weigh 230 grs. I've shot mine a lot. I size mine to .3250 and shoot it from a sporter 8 X 57 that I just built recently. With 12 grs. of Unique mine will shoot into a pretty small group at 50 yards. See photo:

Here is the rifle. I put some sweat & long hours into this one:

Thanks Buckshot,

I've really enjoyed shooting it. Nice when they shoot just as good as they look.

Junior:

I do believe that you are clearly ahead of me on the bolt handle knob.

Best,
