I don't know how the "pros" do this stuff, but figure the rifle and pistol could be re-sold (individually) right now for a total of $650 plus, and the other stuff for $50 or perhaps $75. If I could buy it for $600 plus $30 freight, it would be hard to lose money. (Even for me - and I'm a "pro" at that). Sit on it for a year or two and it may be pretty good.

Still not interested - because the "safety" for me is if I like the gun(s) and want to keep 'em anyway. Picked up a swivel barrel .45 for what I hope is a good price - but at least the gun suits my taste better. (That's how I justify another rifle when I promised myself to cut down some. A fool and his money.) :groner:
