How to edit text in my post

When typing my text for a new post/thread, if I go back into the text to add or revise words, I write over the existing text instead of inserting. What am I doing wrong? It's frustrating to have typed and then go back and see it disappear as I write more text. ( I just noticed if I go back to edit after posting, this doesn't happen.)

My guess is that your keyboard is in overwrite mode. Your keyboard should have a key that says "insert" on it. Press it once & your keyboard should be in insert mode until change it again.

Thanx, that was it. I must have hit the insert key when trying to hit the delete key, as they are next to each other. Like 462, I can learn about Boolits and computers. WHAT A FORUM!! Now I'll go and try my original question.
