Bulk Copper Buy in .010 diameter thickness sheets

.010 Copper in 8" x11" sheets shipping USPS 3 day Priority Mail Flat Rate.

-This buy is for Cast Boolit Members ONLY. I'm not in the business of selling copper, and cannot afford to spend time selling other folks this copper at our group buy prices. Please seek out your own supplier if not a forum member, or join!.

I'm including a slite markup on the whole order price to help with minimum expenses in tape, accounting, cutting, shipping, and processing time.

If there is a large market price increase by the time the goup buy ends and material is ordered, I will have to ask for the extra funds at time of shipment as we did with the last buy. Hopefully, this will move along rapidly and we will be OK at this price. Last buy I locked in the price and ordered with my own funds near the end of our buy, but this time around I don't have the extra cash available.

Size:

8"x11" sheets. 3 sheets make aprroximately 1144 gas checks in 30 caliber.

Pricing:

Option A:

$2.84 per 8"x11" sheet.

Up to 9 sheets can be shipped Flat Rate Envelope USA- $4.95

Over 9 sheets go Flat Rate Box USA- $10.35

Near lifetime supply of CFF- Patmarlins "World Famous" California Flake Flux, compressed in Flat Rate Box USA- with your copper order for an additional $10.00.

Add $2.25 for optional Insurance

-Boys and girls, this is the best $21 you will ever spend on your casting activities!
I spent yesterday casting and what a pleasure the Flake Flux is to use! My alloy has never looked so clean and my bullets so bright. My pot was even easy to clean out at the end of the session! 20# worth!

I'll PM you my address with order confirmation.

I will keep this buy open until we have enough orders to fill the requests and purchase the bulk copper.

We need to order the full amount of copper to make this buy level price.

Unfortunately- I have to keep this sale separate from the Checkmaker sales. They have to be shipped separately as our costs are based on a certian sized boxes, weights, etc., etc., and I cannot afford to carry copper in stock at this time.

I STRONGLY suggest new "Checkbooliteers" find a paper cutter to make your strips, as the quality of your gascheck disks and waste depends on nice consistent cut strip, in addition to speed and effort.

This is important when you realize we are fabricating our own normally "factory made" product. Look in second hand stores, garage sales, etc.

Thanks much for your business and continued support... :drinks:

Pat,

Can you post a list of the zip codes that you already had as going in on the next bulk copper group buy?

Thanks,

Hi Carl,

Maybe in the future, but right now I have WAY to much to work out, and I'm very busy running production and getting my wife online with a good bookeeping system that will make everything run smoother.

Just a lot of daily work, but progress is being made.

Your order for copper was right on the borderline, and I ran out of the first order just before you. I looked at the comfirmation I sent you, and it had "2nd buy" listed on it. I can resend it you would like.

This buy should fill up, well it is filling up quickly so it won't be to long.

PatMarlin will now be listing zip codes and order status here at the 2nd Copper Group Buy above on the first post, top of the page. If anyone for some reason has not received their copper from the last buy- PM me ...!

You can now go back to what you were doing, perviously. ...

Pat, is this gonna fly? It seems to have petered out.

PatMarlin
10-17-2009, 07:20 AM
Ah yes- Patrick.

Yes it is going to fly. There are some more orders that have come in I beleive that my wife has to forward me, and as I ship the rest of these dies, more will come in shortly. Don't give up.. :drinks:

Do I detect some sarcasm? It was just an honest question.

Should I have said... Ah so Patrick?

Now that would have been funny!

I was just concerned; I've never been in a group buy that didn't go through due to lack of enough participation, and it just seemed to have stalled. I'm glad there are more coming in.

I'm in no rush, as I found a copper source for "right now," although the $$ is not as good as yours. The copper checks formed great, and shot just as well as Hornadys or Gators.

My wife is handling this and she says we have 482 sheets paid, and 79 more waiting payment for a total of 561.

There are a few more order inquiries and I've been down with the flu so have not been able to answer questions lately.

Thanks everyone, this buy is closed. Copper is ordered, and my wife the official copper shipper lady will start cutting and sending out orders.

Unfortunately, the price had increased so there was no extra at all for her effort, but we are doing it for the convenience of everyone. Hopefully, there will be more buys. This copper is also 1/2 hard annealed and not foil soft. The exact same as the last batch I ordered on the last buy.

I gambled on it (1/2 hard) working better, making better checks and it does. It costs a little more, but worth it.

Update:

Still waiting on the copper.

It takes about 2 weeks for the factory to process the order then shipping. We ordered about 3 weeks ago, and got a call 1 week ago that the copper was damaged during shipment.

So now we're waiting on the second go around. It comes on a large roll, and my wife has to cut and package it when it gets here.

What's the latest on this group buy?

PatMarlin

We finally have the copper here. I have to get my wife set up on cutting and shipping. She had some serious neck pains for the past few weeks, and finally we found a chiroprator that fixed her up and she's getting back to normal.

We don't have anyone local obviously- I drive her to Redding, ca in pain to see a chiroprator on a referal and he wants $250 to get going, on some long drawn out program. Walked on that one, and finally found one in a small town towards the coast who's been at it for years.

$35 bucks and she walked out of there like Jesus waved his healing hand on her.

We'll see where it comes out. I got it off the pallet today and on my custom Sears broken down radial arm saw custom cast boolits copper cutter rack. She'll start cutting tomorrow.
