Just wondering? I've got my hand on a Rem. 7600 in 30-06 and wanted to know if anybody on here has ever cast for one of these rifles. Any feeding problems ?
What is a good mold for the 30-06 too?

Thanks Dave

Dave:

I've never shot cast bullets in a Rem. pump 30/06, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. You need to get all the copper out of the bore 1st.

The Lee 200 gr. RN might be a good place to start if you're on a budget. Try sizing the bullets .309 or .310 with 16.5 grs of 2400 as a good starting load.

Report back to us with your progress.

I have the earlier version, the 760. My carbine feeds just about everything but my older(1952) has a step on the barrel that lead boolits don't like. I normally shoot a 311466 over 20 gr of 2400. Can't really say but hundreds have gone down range much the the disapointment of many small rocks, tennis balls and golf balls. I've also used 311284 but I keep coming back the the 311466.
