Wayne,

I don't mean to sound unhelpful, but the Leementing threads here and on Castpics are loaded with fine-tuning tips. There's just too much involved to put into a simple reply.

Tip: Lee moulds will cast better when the pot's temperature is at a higher setting.

Wayne, I have half a dozen Lee six cav. molds and all I've needed is what you say you have. Clean them well and follow the Bullplate instructions, I don't think you can lose. Oh, Run that guy a little hot.

Wayne, I've got only two of the 6 cavity Lee molds and mine have required far less
tweeking than any of my two cavity Lee molds. My first one only needed to be cleaned and pre-heated. My second one had one cavity that would not release it's bullet easily. A close examination revealed a small burr left from the cherry. After it was removed the problem went away. The installation of a screw for the sprue plate cam would be a good idea. Check the stickys for advice on that. Let me know how it works out.

What is a soupcan mold? The only mold that looks like a soup can is the tumble lube wad cutter.
