Between snowstorms, spring is coming to Western Nevada, also. Our front lawn, and the "back forty," which we call the natural quail and cottontail refuge, are beginning to green up. Yesterday I saw a pair of cottontails out the kitchen window running at and hopping over each other, sort of like leap frog. Looks to me that it won't be long until they change the rules of the game to allow incomplete leaps.

Broomsage or broomsedge was Ohio's state flower too. Only we call it poverty grass. Enjoyed the picture. It's greening up here too.
