How high to pan lube

I have been pan lubing to the top of the recesses but it occurred to me tonight, that I am still getting some lead contact at the top band. Should I be lubing the whole bullet and just wiping the ends as I load?

These are going in a 1911.

Just filling the lube grooves is plenty. On boolits with 2 grooves, like the 452460, only filling the bottom groove is fine for a lot of loads. As long as you're getting a little "lube star" at the muzzle, you've got plenty.
