I cleaned and prepped my new Lee improved minnie in 58 cal and put on a pot of stickons.

I expected a long break in and learning curve because of the hollow base. First bullet had a wrinkle, warmed the mold and left the second in a while. It came out with a lesser wrinkle, third was a keeper. I cast 50 more with only 4 more old maids.

Oh...My wife remarked on how shiney and purdy my new Boolits were

Well done. A huge boolit like that puts a whole lot of heat into the mold. I
assume it is a single cavity, since my only Lee HB is a SC and it doesn't look like
the design would work too well for multiple cavities. If so, the mass of aluminum
is pretty small so the huge lead supply can warm it up fast.

Great news, glad to hear another success story.

Let us know how they shoot.

Yep, Single Cavity.
How will they shoot...that's always the next question.:???:
It has a 1:48 twist, should do OK. I have plenty of Swiss, so later this week, I'll find out.
