I've got my alox, also got my beeswax from a member here (Thanks, Randyrat). Im going to try pan lubing. Heres my intent please give feedback. half beeswax, some shaved ivory, half Alox with a dallop of JPW thrown in and an old red candle for color, does this sound like it will be ok, and judging by the stickiness of the Alox do you think it will be sticky and if so what should i add to correct it. Thanks in advance my good friends......[smilie=2:

Goferit. Half the fun is experimenting and making stuff. Sounds reasonable to me.

The red candle may not be red enough. You might see if you can find a red crayon. ;) I agree with threett1. The fun is in the experimenting.

melt the b-wax and candle stir in the ivory and alox and finally the jpw while hot... . add more jpw if you need softer or some lanolin and a bit more b-wax if you need it stiffer
if you melt the jpw don't breathe the fumes, the solvent will make you cough for hours.
