Posted this on Leverguns, but figure it is needed here also.

Our town lost one of its finest officers, Saturday night. He was responding to a domestic violence call, along with two other officers. Three entered the garage, but none came out.

Officer Kinterknecht, 41, lost his life. The other two were wounded, one in the leg, the other in both legs, but both are OK and will recover.

I think I saw him at the fair, earlier in the day, watching his daughter sell her 4-H animal. He leaves a wife and two daughters, probably 11 and 13.

Met him a couple of times, and to me , he seemed to be an outstanding person. Loved his job. He is going to be missed by many. The world lost a good one.

Prayers needed for his family, and for all his "family" at the police department. Everyone is taking it hard.

I would hope the domestic turned into a suicide by cop. I pray for the family of all three officers. They sacrifice every day so that others an have peace.
