Any family connection to Crockett, or just the Tenn. connection? Our counties in Texas are named after the defenders of the Alamo, and yes, we have a Crockett county.

I live in Alamo, TN, a small town that is the county seat of Crockett County, TN. No family connection. The web handle is somewhat hokey but was all I could think of on the spur of the moment when I signed up for my first on line forum. After using it on several, it wasn't worth trying to change. Been looking for an avatar ever since. I found this one when I googled Alamo. The web site said it could only be used with permission, so I emailed the contact but the only response was that it could not be delivered. I guess I'm using it at my risk.
