Fellows I am working up a Gallery Load for my 45 Colt Low Wall. I am wanting to use a heavy bullet.

I have a 405 grain 45-70 mold. And I also have some pure lead-which I believe will cast slightly smaller than harder lead??

Do you guys think I could run the 45-70 bullets through my .454 sizer?? Any pros or cons?? Thanks, Tom.

Yes. It can be done. Just be careful till you figure out if you're overstressing your sizer. A Lee die will do this easily, an RCBS LAM too, a Lyman 45....I'd be real careful.

Stability will be your main concern. A round ball might work better.

You should do as Bret suggested and look at the lead ball. The 457 works and I think someone just did a post on that.
