Hi All,

I am having a custom mold cut for my 35 rem as the RCBS 35-200 does not want to chamber. The bore ride section is too tight :) takes two hands to close the lever

Anyway I cloned the bullet on mountain molds website but changed the boreride section to suit my barrel. I am stuck on the brass mold block idea but not that it can warp? I like to oven heat treat my bullet and make about 20 pb nose and ww base bullets for hunting season. The use BruceB's methoed of dipping the mold into the hot pot to weld the pb to the WW. Has anyone done this with a brass mold? I do it all the time with mountain molds aluminum blocks and lyman iron blocks just never with brass.

So is the brass block up to the challange? I always wanted a brass mold.

Thanks

I would assume so...

Saeco makes their blocks out of brass... And they've been doing it for years...

Jim you are mistaken, SAECO uses cast iron with copper added, that is what gives them a slight gold color. Brass is a yellow color like cartridge cases.

What does your rcbs 35-200 measure right in front of the first drive band?
