Since David R hasn't posted one yet. Let me try to help since I now have time on my hands. Lets make this one a Paper Patched rifle, 10 shots, 50 yrds. Any rest any sights. Post a photo or send them to me and I'll post them.

PS I will be using my Husqy in .270 with a 130gr PP from my homemade mold, so you don't need anything fancy ( i.e. 45/70, 40/60 so on)

Looks like a good match, I don't have a paper patch type boolit :(

Thats the good thing about casting and PPing. You roll a cast naked (without lube or GC) boolit then run it through the sizer after it dries and it can be swagged down to the bore diameter. No special molds needed. Check out some threads by docone31 in the PP ing section. I have a crammer B2 mold for my .270 that I patch also. I haven't shot a lubed boolit since I started PPing. I use 2 wraps of lined notebook paper, dry overnight, then size in a push through die. Smear it with a little JPW. Load in a primed unsized case, Use my Lee neck sizing die to give it a crimp.

Out of curiosity - can you run "soft" lead at high speeds with a paper patch? Example: wcww 30 cal boolit at 3000 fps? If so, why mess with the high speed lubes, gas checks, etc?

I've had range scrap, BHN 8, up to 3000 FPS with paper patch in the .30-284 Excellent accuracy. Nail wood chucks with them, turns them inside out and explodes them. [smilie=f:

My point exactly.
