I had a tall and short 20lb Lee pot in my garage that had seen better days.
I started out warming them up, one at a time, then draining all the lead out.
I let it cool off then removed all the screws and external hardware.
I then put on my mil surplus gas mask and put the 4" wire brush stripper on the cordless and began cleaning. I got it down to bare metal again and then wiped it all down with extra virgin olive oil.
After putting it back together, I admired my job.
Plugged it back in and warmed it up again. Put the cleaned alloy in from before and started casting some 158gr SWC with gas checks from Lee. I really do like this mold and it drops really nice shiny boolits. I used my old Lyman 310 tool and bullet sizer for 358 to seat the gas checks.
Now, off to find my Felix lube and get them ready for loading. My S&W model 28-2 has been begging for some SWC heat this summer.
