I want to put an Merrit adjustable aperture on my Marble tang sight on my Marlin 94. I don't know the numbers well enough to know what to order.

Anyone know what number to order?

Thanks,

I believe the Marbles sight has a 10/32 thread, the Merit aperture for the 1885 Browning has 10/32 threads.Brownell's number on this aperture is571-003-004AB, for the target sight disc. The hunting sight is a # 4, Brownells # is571-000-002AB,and it states it is for the Marbles. Hope this helps.:drinks:

Softpoint, do you know what the difference is between the target and the hunting versions?

Thanks,

I believe it is the size of the disc. Hunting is 1/2" and I think the target is 3/4". The internals are the same. I have the hunting model on my Williams FP and I think it's great.

Thats about it, I have the hunting model and I think they say the aperture goes from .025 to .155, with a 1/2 " outside diameter, the target model goes from .022 to .125. with a 3/4" outside diameter, then they have a "master" target, same sight with a huge 1 1/2" rubber outside disc. The hunting model gives me more than enough adjustment range, Heck, I can't even see through the .025 opening when it's closed all the way up unless I put my eye all the way up against it!
The only drawback to them, if there is one, is that they are kinda fragile. I have one I bumped against a tree and broke the threaded portion off. I like them though.
