Ben beautifulllllll bullets. The edges around the HP doesn't have a deformity to be seen. Just send them to me to be tested.

Nice.
You are really tempting me to get mine HP'd.
BarryinIN :
I do believe you'd like the 413' in it's HP form. Beagle has one and he says his shoots really well.
I have a pair of single cav. 311413 molds. Both are in excellent condition.
1 has been sent to Erik in OR ( it is the one you see today that I cast the above bullets with ), the other will remain a solid.
I'll have the best of both worlds with that system.

My Lee 20 lb. ladle pot runs with a temp control setting of " 9 " to get bullets like this.
Once the alloy is HOT , clean, and the HP pin is HOT, there is about a 5% rejection rate with this mold. I don't believe I'd sell this mold ! !
Try it at 7 or 8 and you'll end up with deformed tips.
Ben
Those are beautiful boolits, and I am envious!

I think I've seen it elsewhere but: What do these weigh in HP form?

Yes, there's definitely something wrong here!!!
Ben, how much tin do you mix in to get such shiney, well-filled-out boolits for all of your pictures??

BOOLIT PORN!!!! Schweet! Now we need to hear if the HP moves the CG back far enough to take care of the 413's rep for "wobble-itis"!
Bret4207 :
That's a real good question ! !
If some of this heat will moderate, I should have an answer on that issue soon.
Mine shot great in solid form, I can't see that moving the CG to the rear can hurt anything.

ACWW's with 2% tin. Metal is HOT, Mold is HOT, HP pin is HOT !

Ben, Erik in OR did a beautiful job! Now some questions on the pix (excellent, btw): Which camera? Which format (JPEG, etc.)? What resolution/pixels did you resize them to?
Hello Maven:
Pics were taken with a Minolta Dimage - Z-10, 3.2 M-Pixel camera ( Obsolete, no longer sold by Minolta), camera is about 5 yrs. old now. I have taken about a bazillion photos with this camera.
Orig. photos shot at 2034 size. Uploaded to Photobucket at 800 size. Then embedded into this thread.

Ben, I would say from looking at the pics that you have this bullet casting thing almost down. You are close and will need to cast another fifty years to get it just right though.

Ben, Thanks for the information about your photos. It certainly appears that lens quality trumps pixel count once again (something camera manufacturers don't really wish to discuss). My camera is a now obsolete Olympus with only 5 mpixels, but with RAW capacity and it does just fine too.
Ben--You are one "Master Caster"! All the pitchurs you post show great examples of craftsmanship on your part and on those of the mould maker. Great work!--Shuz

Very nice!

You guys are going to have to stop posting pics of those beautiful HP'd boolits. You're going to cause me to have to shell out the money to have a few blocks done...

Looks like nose cones for WMD'S to me. Don't disclose where you plan to hide them.

I think the intent is to hide those "WMDs" in the bodies of dead critters.:Fire:
Those are some mighty fine looking boolits!
