I recently took delivery of a douglas barrel blank. 38spl 1x14 twist and its a xx grade. Now here is where I need some help. I know that there are two sizes of 35 caliber barrels, one for pistol and the other for rifle. Haven't slugged it yet to get dimensions. But would it be possible to use it for a barrel for the 35 remington cartridge. Cast boolits only. I have a 1891 argentine mauser action thats in nice shape thats crying for a barrel. Thanks, Frank

I'd say yes. I've thought of that same thing (turning a .357 Max. into a Whelen). One thou for jacketed bullets shouldn't make any difference, and your cast are all made to fit anyway. Right?

leftiye, the reason I asked was that as you pointed out was that the boolits would be sized to fit. And with my lousey luck I'd probably get a mold that wouldn't cast a boolit fat enough. Thanks, Frank
