I was asked for a source for a .687 round ball mold, got any suggesions?

Try this: jeff.ballmoulds@talktalk.net His moulds are brass (no sprue cutter) and fit standard handles. Price for .601" - .850" is $45 + postage.

I have a Lee 690. A 687 would be splitting hairs pretty fine unless it was for fit to a bore without patches or some such use.

I agree with northmm, .003 is kinda fine. This is provided a .690 mould even cast a ball right at .690, especially with dead soft lead, Lead sheeting (unfluxed) for example. Save the tin though. ; )
