Has anyone ever tried a Rapine Bullet Mould ? Do they work well ? Is the quality OK or not. Are they good folks to deal with on product warranty/adjustment issues ?

i bought a used one it seems to be a step up from lee but it will drop the boolits with just a shake of the mold and a little smoke from a bic lighter.
the edges aren't quite as sharp as i am used to but it shoots darn well.

I have 5 Rapine moulds and find them of good quality and they cast very good and accurate bullets. I have been using them for 15 years or so. They are all 460xxx series for my 45-70 TDs. The folks at Rapine are easy to deal with. I've not had problems with any of the mould so I've not had to address the warrenty issue. My guess from my previous dealings with them is that they stand by their product and it should not be an issue.

Great molds, and a good guy to deal with. I have several Rapine molds and not a lick of trouble with any of them, the most accurate .45/70 boolit I cast is with a Rapine mold.

Only had one experience with Rapine and that was bad. Problems with out of round. Same returned by the owner ( Iwas casting for him) and never got another. Got a Jeff Tanner mould instead. I think it was the proverbial exception to the rule.

Once I bought a box of new moulds at an estate sale. There were 2 Rapine moulds in their boxes. The first was a .314" double cavity and the second was a .329" 2 cavity mould. I had a tool maker friend, yes I do have a friend, carefully thin the .329" down to a .325" mould and re-do the vent lines. I use these alot and can`t say anything bad about them. Robert
