BB Making

Many of you have heard that I made a gas powered bb maker over the last couple of summers. I got it running and man does it put out the BB's. The ones in the first video are not the best BB's i've made but after I ran them through the screens it appears that I am dripping anywhere between 5 and 8 shot decently round. Oh and if you are curious the temp of the antifreeze is 135 Deg F and the lead is around 375 for good shot. It took alot of work and trial and error to get this thing right but I finally got it running good. I will post a picture of the Patterns Compared to a normal shell sometime next week.Its definetly a two man job because I can drip about 150 pounds in an hour with this puppy and it likes to eat the lead. I will post some pics and blueprints that I drew up. Some of the pics are old and I have changed the style of my pump and antifreeze holding device. And if you are wondering, YES, there is a funnel and a hole in the bottom of that ammo can for the BB's to run out of and into a different can.

go to trapshooters.com you can find out a lots about shot making. your lead looks dirty on top. when i started making shot ( now over 5000 lb) in 2 1/2 yrs, that you have to have good clean ingots to use. i only make my ingots from ww that i melt. no unknown lead. i save unknown lead for my bullet making . it is a hoot making shot.
