Hello everyone. I need some help. Could someone look in their new Speer reloading book, and tell me what the starting, and max charge of Red Dot is for the cast RCBS, 44 cal 200gr cowboy bullet is? my books don`t show anything.
Thanks.

for 215 In 44 special, Lyman Sez:

4.0 starting load 625 fps
6.5 max 945 fps.

This is out of the 1973 cast boolit hand book.

Speer reloading manual no13. .44-200 fn and .44-200 cas boolits.
For .44 special,starting load 5.4gr,=897fps.Maximum load 6.0gr=999fps.
For .44-40,starting load 5.4gr=814fps,maximum load 5.9gr=866fps.Both rifle and pistol.
for .44 mag Speer manual does not list loads for 200gr cowboy boolit.

Thanks Guys; KTN, that was what I was looking for. I got some RCBS .44 cal 200gr CM bullets [cowboy]; they are a flat round nose. I`m gonna be using .44 spl brass. I went to the gun store yesterday, and was looking through the Speer book, and saw they had those cowboy bullets listed. But I walked out of the store with the new Sierra reloading book. Just because I have an old one, and it is just the rifle section; and the new one has BOTH, rifle, and pistol. It was sealed with plastic, and I was hoping it had cowboy loads in it; but it did not.
Thanks again.
