Newbie alloy question

Let's say you have pure lead, antimony and tin. How do you make an alloy of it?
In which order do you melt these three and at which temperatures?
(I've read somewhere that if you put antimony in molten lead it will crust on top.)

It's very difficult to alloy antimony to lead. It takes a special flux and a lot of time. Full details are available from The Antimony Man. He supplies all you need if you insist on doing this.

It's really no big deal. Several of us here on the forum do it with the same equipment we use to melt WW.

44Man and I have both posted detailed descriptions of the methods we use. You should be able to find the thread using the search function. IIRC, 44Man uses The Antimony Man's (Bill Ferguson) flux and the instructions he supplies.

I use boolit lube for flux and somewhat lower temp. than 44Man.

The process takes slightly longer than normal fluxing and skimming and doesn't envolve any unusual temperature or equipment.

put the tin in first hold your pot temp to around 600* and flux in the antimony i use a small amount of marvelux and put in a small amount of weighed out antimony and stir,and stir,and stir.....and stir..
