I had terrible luck with their 405 RF. Could not get it to shoot. Maybe the 350 is better.

RCBS 405 GC shoots about 1.5" groups at 100 yds over 57.0 W748 with a magnum
primer. Same load took a wildebeeste and zebra with one shot each with the Rem
405 jacketed bullet. It runs about 1750 from my SS GG.

Haff202, Welcome to the forum!:cbpour:
I am also a owner of a 1895.
And the best results I have had so far
is The RCBS 405 gc.

Yes r is for round and f is for flat. So it is a round nose with a flat tip on the nose.

Just the opposite here. The 350 didnt shoot for squat and the 405 did fine. But then I paper patch ALL my rifle bullets so maybe that made a difference.

LEE 's homepage has a closeout section that has Ranch Dog Molds for sale. At least the numbers are the same for a 45-70

Those Lee closeout's are reportedly undersized molds Michael rejected. As I said on another thread I am considering trying to lap one out by embedding grit only on the band portion as they are no longer available from Michael.
