Well it looks as if all the 3040 brass on planet Earth is hideing from me. I do have some 303 brit brass. It looks like I can run my 303 shells through a 3040 FL die and have some 3040s with a shortened neck. anyone had any dealings with this? Concerns? Thanks in advance....Buck:drinks:

I wish I had a 34-40 to give you input on parent cases, but here's 50 new Winchesters on GB. The bid is 20 bucks with no reserve or bidders. One day left...

If you don't want it, I might bid on it... Let me know?

Buck, I use them all the time. Can't say that I've notice any difference between the accuracy in them. On the other hand I can't see worth a damn any more ...Ray

Have you checked with Quality Cartridge (http://www.qual-cart.com/) and Huntingtons (http://www.huntingtons.com/) ? Both list it, but don't mark their websites with out of stock notifications so you have to call and ask.

You will notice two things sizing .303 to .30-40. First, the cases will be a shade short which is not a problem. Second, .303 neck brass is thinner than .30-40 Krag.
