I have a SAECO lubrisizer. I recently picked up a used RCBS mold, model 45-405 (.458 diameter, 405 grain gas check flat point bullet).
What number SAECO top punch would I use on the RCBS bullet? I called SAECO, and they didn't know offhand.
Anyone out there shoot this bullet, and lube/size it using a SAECO unit? Looks like there are two choices: 45015 and 45525. My concern is that top punch # 45015 looks to have a smaller meplat than the 45525 punch. The smaller meplat punch (45015) MAY be too small, and therefore pinch/deform the RCBS 45-405meplat. I'm just not sure. Hope to get a real life answer from one of you 45-70 casting wizards.
