Had to get the ABS sensor fixed in the van today. Chatted with the service guy and asked about WW. He said someone usually came and got them but we could see what was there. I got almost half a pail for free. Figured I might as well hit my other 2 spots in town. The one place that I always get them for free (secured with some free loaded ammo) had a little less than a half a pail. I was feeling good. Hit the main tire store. The manager is my daughter's friends uncle. He had me on the list for the next bucket at $20 a bucket. He apologized that a few Saturday's ago when he wasn't working someone came in and got what they had. He told me I could have what was there. I ended up with another almost half a bucket for free. "Smelted"down this evening and ended up with 121 lbs of WW and about 5 lbs of stickons, all for free.

Truly a good day!

I have a friend that imparted his philosophy many times, "if you ask 100 the same question, 1 will say yes. So you hurry and ask 99."

He wasn't talking about free ww's, but this philosophy tends to hold true for 'em, and the percentages are better.

And Mom told me the best things in life are free.

Yep, always ask. A few months ago, the truck needed new brakes. Asked the shop manager about weights. He said, "Follow me." Scored a completely full 5-gallon bucket that had been squireled away in the back of the warehouse. He's now on the soda and doughnut list.
