..............I went to Bosesguns on a member's recommendation and ended up spending a bit over a hundred bucks! All I was wanting was the dern dies, but they had some other stuff on sale so.........! I've seen these dies available for up to $125 but at Bosesguns they were $62!

The dies come in a kind of old timey looking pasteboard box (in this day and age of plastic) with red paper glued on that's printed in black with their logo, address, and 1 -1/4-12 threaded dies.

Carrying on the old timey-ness, when you slip the top off the box, the dies are in diecut form fitting holes in a piece of dense foam rubber. They're chubby! The only aluminum is the die locking rings. All the rest of the 3 dies set is steel and very nicely machined.

Instead of the strict utilitarian look of thier other dies it seems they took a bit of liberty in kind of dressing these up a bit. The seater die the most as it has a rounded bead both top and bottom of a somewhat recessed knurled ring around the body. Not that it has an effect on the use of the dies, but the knurling is done to perfection. Knowing what's invloved in it, I no longer take knurling lightly 8)

The 3 die set is a sizer/de-capper, casemouth flaring with through powder ability, and then a seater die with crimp ring. Also included is a shellholder marked #22. I Don't know if Lee offers the shellholder seperately or not. Considering RCBS charges over $300, and CH-4D gets $150+, the Lee's at $62 were a steal. Their 577-450 dies are priced the same.

Once again Lee has produced a good looking set of dies and come in at a very user friendly price, to be sure!

The 577/450 dies I ordered are on back order. When I called the young lady said she was walking over to make sure. Yup They had them... But the next morning at 6:30 AM she called ( Must not know about time zones) and told me they were out after all.
Bummer.
But since the price is right... I'll wait. Unless Zuke has more tricks up his sleeve?

As of 2 days ago they still had a set of Snider dies. They have an 800 number but I can't find it.
