I noticed a few members aren't offering a PIF item for ones their taking and when you ask for an item please post the PIF your offering in return ASAP for the one your requesting. This will keep things going smooth here and it wont look like your taking things without offering something in return for them. If you have items still available from the initial PIF page please list them in separate individual posts here so everyone knows whats still available. If you have a PIF item you offered for another item sitting dead for a while please offer another item so the older PIF's can be deleted without unwanted items sitting around here for months. And please try to keep the number of items you request to the same as what you offered and sent so you dont accumulate multiple items without sending any out. We had a bad apple take advantage of some great members in the past and were going to avoid that from happening again. This is a self moderated thread so please dont take advantage of it and let everyone down. Thanks, Mike
***PS- If your posting a PIF item for one taken please list the item you requested in your thread somewhere so we all know what its for. If its a new item just put new item somewhere so everyone knows your one up on PIF's.

Do it just like you posted here, but instead of posting a new reply, to this thread you just post a new thread under this topic. Or just click here "Post a new PIF thread" (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=51) and add the details of the Item you would like to PIF.
FYI You said you have "some items" I would make a separate post for each... It would make it easier on all of us.
As far as doing it from a Blackberry, I'm not sure. If you can post on the furums here you can post a PIF. I can do it from my windows smartphone. So I'm assuming you can. Maybe someone else can answer that one better...
Any problems you can PM me or mikenbarb and we'll give you a hand. (Not that I'm an expert, just willing to help)

Just need some clarification. The PIF 20lb. Lee pot thread confuses me concerning shipping costs. There is discussion in the thread about shipping $$ being sent.
If you take a PIF item, doesn't the sender pay the shipping costs?
I thought it was understood when you put up a PIF item that you are putting up the freight also.
I took a PIF item and didn't send any funds. On the PIF I put up in return, I paid the shipping.
Shed light on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
A "New" sticky maybe?

I would like to throw in my 2 cents here...
I feel when a guy offers up a high dollar item like that, there should be no reason why he shouldn't be able to ask the reciepient to pay shipping.
I also would like to remind everyone tha the economy does suck right now, people are losing jobs left and right. Maybe someone would like to offer something and just can't afford to pay to ship it?
Just my thoughts though!

i tend to agree. I have never asked for shipping either, but that is a rather heavy and large item. if it had been something small that fit into a small flat rate box it would be different. but i see no reason to ask for shipping on something like that.if no one wanted it for the shipping cost it wouldnt be taken. just my .02 on this.

PIF is a PAY IT FORWARD place where members offer their items to others for FREE. If shipping is a concern than the item should be posted with that mentioned in the thread but the shipping should be paid for by the member offering the item because the member taking it proably payed the shipping for an item he pif'd and shipped. It all works out to be a wash in the end.

What about if I just want to give something away, and MAYBE will claim something later...in a day or a month later?
If I'm 'ahead' how will everyone know?

Thats fine. PIF should be just that, forward. Give with the idea of giving, not credits. If something comes around that you need then great. Point of the mod was there were some great items being posted and the generous people that offered them seen items they would have liked but that were quickly taken by some that had not PIF and in some cases still never PIF even after the fact.

moderators. if we receive a pif from someone should we get back on the thread and let it be known that the pif has been received. that way it can be deleted.
