Why have they bid this mold up this high , on E Bone ? (http://cgi.ebay.com/45-70-45-90-BULLET-MOLD-SHARPS-TRAPDOOR-500-gr-NEW_W0QQitemZ7222525924QQcategoryZ71118QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem) and still have to pay for shipping .

When you can buy the same mold from Graff for $15.99 including shipping .

BUT, I saw a used Dillon RL550 B go for 390 plus 35 shipping when you can buy a new one from Dillon for 369 plus $20.00 shipping. Go figure.

I once saw a good auctioneer sell a copy of the Anheuser Busch lithograph of Custer's Last Stand (available for $10 from Shotgun News at the time) framed with four 2X4's that had been burned artistically with a blowtorch, for $90. The bidding was spirited; the excitement was palpable in the air.

This was a country auction and these were people who worked for their money, not the idle rich. The guy just knew how to turn the crowd into a bunch of lemming spendthrifts.

The advent of the Internet means there is enough of the lemming element immediately available so that the hyping of the audience by the auctioneer is optional.

There is hope, though. The auctioneer couldn't get a bid on a (badly) home-made corner bar covered with orange carpet and studded with little lights that blinked off and on in time with the music on the embedded music system. 8)

It takes all kinds of people to make you bid more for an item than you can buy it for from a dealer. Mostly I think they just get caught up in the bidding and do no research untill it is to late.
