Kroil is for what?

It is a oil/solvent used to loosen stuck parts, make leading removal from barrels easier, overall cleaning solvent. The first time I tried it, I cleaned my gun with Hopps until I was getting clean patches. Then I ran a patch with Kroil on it. Followed with the brush and a nother dry pad. It came out almost black! About 5 or 6 patches later they were clean again.

I'm still using out of a rusty gallon can of the stuff my grandfather left me years ago! Thanks for the info, I may buy one just to see if the logo has changed!

I bought the same deal a few weeks ago. Someone said that buying it by the gallon is much cheaper.

Oh, probably just THE best penetrating oil ever made. Sells for outrageous price at gun shows. Loosens lead in barrels too.

Thanks for the link I just placed my order.

That's a good deal. It sells for about $60 a gallon at MidwayUSA. This stuff is the recommended cleaning agent for supressors, too.

Love Kroil...

The liquid is better than the arisol, but at that price...

Great stuff. Only problem with the aerosol cans is the pressure tends to leak down over a year or so and unable to spray. Use it with in a years or so and it will be good. The factory is just down the road from me. Great people to deal with. This reminds me I am running low, time for a trip to town....

Well, if the propellant in the aerosol cans leaks out, the Kroil will still be in there in its' liquid form.

So you would want to hold down the spray button for long enough to make sure there is no pressure left in the can.

Then make a small hole at one end of the can, and pour the liquid Kroil into a suitable container for later use.

Folks-

This is a super deal on Kroil; even Brownells can't even come close to this deal.

I checked, order now.

I just got mine:

Ordered the half-pint can and they sent the aerosol, all for $7! That is a real deal!

Of course, I have 3 half-pint cans now, plus the spray. That should be enough quality lube for a long time...this stuff doesn't age, per what I've heard.

quote "even Brownells can't even come close to this deal"

Actually, Brownells is expensive for hardware-machine shop type supplies.

An old shooter years ago introduced me to his "homemade Kroil" it was a 50/50 mix of Kerosene and ATF. it works very well. Add some lacquer thinner and you have Ed's Red.
