Had a pretty good casting session today, part of it was knocking out 150 of the lee 1oz 12Ga slugs, they almost look too good to shoot!
Quite a difference in appearance between the shiny soft lead of these and the dull grayness of pure wheel weights I use in my pistol plinking stuff.
Only down side was that about half way through it I was thinking "and why don't they make this in a six banger?"

Lookin' good !! I have one of their 1 oz twelve gauge molds, too. Keep us informed about your loads and how they shoot. I sure wish that they had kept the 20 gauge mold, but Lee said that the powder companies didn't like it much.

Yep, those sure look familiar. I have the 7/8 oz mould and recently cast some up. Still haven't loaded them though. . . Not sure when I'll ever get around to it.

Where does time go when you start getting older???

I casted a bunch of lee 1oz slugs they shot pretty good. Like R Lee says they definately are much better in rifled barrel. I used blue dot. Lot of recoil but its a good load. FB
