I purchased a Lyman 452460 SWC mould for use in my Kimber 45 ACP.. I'm useing pure WW which weigh 200 grs. they are them sizied to .452 in my lyman 450 sizer with NRA formula lube.. I load this on top of 6grs. unique. I'm woundering if others have used this formula and might have some comments about it's performance..

That should work very well. The 452460 is a very accurate bullet. I normally shoot it over 4.0 grains of Bullseye, but 6.0 grains of Unique should also be a good load. I would guess around 800 fps, or so.

That's a good bullet style. I'll tell you what is my go to bullet for my 45 ACP's. That the Lyman 452288. That has to be the most accurate bullet that I've ever shot out of all my 45 ACPs and used that for years in the 45 Colt over 9.0 grains of Unique. Now my target load for the bullet in my 45 ACPs is 4.0 grains of Bullseye.

I used thousands or rounds of that load as a "youngster" in a M1917 Colt. My load was 6.1 grains of Unique as I had a Pacific Pistol Powder measure with a rotor that threw 6.1 grains.

Made a dandy woods load for snakes, turtles and other animate targets.

Ran across a box a year or so ago in my stuff. Loaded in RA 62 military cases and had my label on it as loaded in 1962. They shot just as well as fresh loaded ammo in my Ruger .45 convertible./beagle
