A couple of years ago I read that this stuff is an excellent cast bullet lube, especially for higher veloicty applications. Ifthis is true it would certainly seem to be the way to go. Anybody out there with any real world experience with this method? Thanks and good shooting!

It's powdered graphite. I've used commercial graphited bullets a few times, but always at very moderate velocities because they were dead soft swaged bullets. Worked well enough for that purpose aside from being horribly messy.

Since graphite is a mild abrasive, I certainly would not use it for high volume shooting. Might be useful in a rough bore.

If you are going to try it anyway, the NAPA chain of auto parts stores sells the same stuff in a larger can for a lower price as DGF 123. You'll find it among the lubricants.
